He's always been very forthright and generous about information aboard the Tranquility, though. He was raised in a rather specific scientific tradition, one where no one was really thinking about getting rich off patents.] We went in the crew quarters, which was marked with odd letters. K, G, L, which were stencilled. Don't know what it fucking meant. We wandered a bit and then it was--
--fucking odd, like a mirage, or the weird-arse scenarios we walked into during recon. One minute there was an empty hallway. The next-- and there was a surreal heat first-- but the next, suddenly there was blood everywhere. Totally fucking nuts, mate. Charlotte was flipping the fuck out when we finally came to her, talking about how Joe Davis was mauled by some eye-smarting shadow creature who hadn't sounded comprehensible to her. Must've been what the audio recording was of. The one Natasi decrypted. I think Charlotte was scared it'd get her too.
